Overview

Inhouse is an AI-native legal platform for SMBs. AI that drafts, reviews, and flags risk, backed by licensed attorneys for the work that needs a real license. The product runs on one rule: AI when you can, lawyers when you should. Our job was to make that rule legible in the product, the brand, and the site — not just true in theory.

Website

Reframing the product around legal work, not legal answers

Inhouse had the core capability already in place, but the website didn’t clearly communicate what made the product different from a generic AI chatbot. The challenge was to reposition the experience around a stronger value proposition: helping businesses get legal work done, not just answered. We redesigned the site to make that promise clear from the first interaction. Through sharper messaging, clearer service framing, and a more task-oriented structure, the new website helped users better understand what Inhouse does, when AI helps, and when lawyers step in. The result was a stronger top-of-funnel experience, with more visitors engaging, scrolling, and starting a legal task.

Product Design

Designing a clearer path from AI assistance to completed work

The product experience needed to do more than provide answers in chat. Users needed a clearer sense of what they could accomplish, how to move a task forward, and when legal work should transition from AI support to lawyer involvement. The challenge was reducing friction while making the product feel more outcome-driven. We reworked key product flows to better guide users from intake to execution. That included improving task clarity, reducing unnecessary complexity, and making lawyer handoffs more legible inside the experience. The result was a product that felt less like an open-ended chatbot and more like a system built to help users complete real legal work with confidence.
