Built for how legal teams actually work, not around them

Traact lacked the flexibility legal teams needed. One rigid structure served every use case, creating friction for compliance-driven users. Foundey rebuilt the platform around modular workflows and real matter management, turning processes that took days into hours.

ADAPTIVE INTAKE

Adaptable intake for legal teams and outside collaborators

Legal matters split by practice area. Litigation needs court dates, corporate needs filing jurisdictions, but Traact forced every matter through the same blank form. For a tech-averse, compliance-driven audience, that was a bad default. Users had to already know which of forty fields applied, and when something went wrong, the software felt like the failure. Access was just as rigid. Vendors, police officers submitting a single report, and outside counsel needing one document all had to become full subscribers because the system only understood one type of user. We built practice-specific templates and participant types, so the right fields appear automatically and access reflects someone's role in a matter instead of a subscription toggle. Legal teams stopped filling irrelevant fields and stopped working around the platform to involve outside parties. Flexibility became a reason to adopt Traact instead of a reason to walk away.

MATTER WORKFLOWS

Flexibility for every kind of legal matter

A legal matter isn't one person's job. Attorneys delegate work to paralegals and support staff: pulling records, filing motions, chasing signatures. Traact had no concept of tasks inside a matter, so teams tracked critical work through email and sticky notes outside the platform. For a profession built around managing liability, invisible work created risk. We built tasks directly inside matters, connecting ownership, deadlines, documents, and context in one place. Attorneys could delegate specific work without handing over the entire file, while paralegals had the context needed to move independently. Traact became more than a tool for attorneys. It became a platform the entire legal team could operate on.

03

MODULAR PLATFORM

Unified legal operations, without forcing one workflow

Traact wanted to become the only platform legal teams needed, but departments were still relying on separate tools for entities, matters, and finance because no system connected them. The answer wasn't merging everything into one screen. Finance shouldn't see privileged matter details, and legal teams don't need billing logic cluttering their workflow. We kept entities, matters, and finance as distinct modules, while connecting them through one source of truth. Data moved between systems without forcing teams to re-enter information. Matter management that once took multiple business days now takes hours, helping Traact move closer to its vision of becoming the operating system for legal teams.

WEBSITE POSITIONING

Making a complex legal platform easier to understand

Traact offered far more than entity management, but that breadth was difficult to communicate. For legal firms comparing solutions, its modules could feel like separate features rather than parts of one connected platform. We restructured the website around the work legal teams actually needed to complete. Entity management became a clear entry point, while matters, finance, documents, and other capabilities were introduced as connected parts of the same system. Instead of asking visitors to understand Traact’s product architecture, the website guided them from a familiar challenge to the relevant solution. The result was a clearer, more credible story—one that helped firms quickly understand both Traact’s immediate value and the full scale of the platform.
